5/5 Stars

I am extremely unfamiliar with detective fiction and I am currently taking a class that centers around analyzing detectives and detective writing. When I saw Agatha Christie on the reading list I was excited because I'd heard so much about her.

For the first classic detective novel I've read this definitely deserves 5 stars and the ending is what sold me. Never will you ever guess who the murderer is. Ever. My jaw literally dropped as I was on the couch with my eyes glued to the page. When the murder goes on to explain their actions it all pieces together so perfectly that you think you should've been able to pick up on who it was, thinking it was in front of you the entire time.

This novel was amazingly written and had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. 10000/10 recommend.
