This book contained everything that I normally enjoy: books, existentialism, etc. but it failed to make me feel something impactful in the end.
The story follows Nora, who in her present life suffers from depression and commits suicide. And in between her journey to heaven (or whatever comes after) she finds herself in the Midnight Library where it stays midnight forever and the books contain what her life would’ve been if she had made different choices at some point in her life.
Most of the story was very fluffy and a cliche discussion of suicide. (It may also be very triggering for suicide if that is a sensitive subject for you)
The concept and the storyline was there, but it really just was not as good as I was expecting. It isn’t a bad book. The writing is well done, but it’s just not anything I was aching for.
