This was honestly so mid. I think from the get-go I had such a hard time connecting with our protagonist, Laura, and how she lives life thinking it's full of dance breaks and meet-cutes.
Not to mention that her entire motivation during this whole novel is to find the owner of this mystery luggage because she is 100% convinced that the owner is her soulmate because he owns a copy of To Kill a Mockingbird and is giving his mother a lavender perfume for her birthday.
I can't even say the love-triangle was fair because it wasn't; it was mediocre at best. I had a tough time believing the connection between Ted, our handsome taxi driver, and Laura was real.
I also feel like I am obligated to mention the She's All That moment where the grumpy, sarcastic love interest suddenly shaves his face and he is surprisingly handsome underneath all the facial hair and baggage.
Sigh. This was just not it for me. I didn't have any swoon worthy moments while reading this. My heart didn't go 'awww' during the entire duration of this novel.
In my opinion, the worst books are the books you feel indifference towards because that means the author failed to make you feel ANYTHING WHATSOEVER.
Anyways, next.
